Gli Amorphead si formano nell'Ottobre del 2007, dal progetto di Giorgio Faini e Luigi Randazzini, rispettivamente batteria e basso del gruppo. La line-up Originale prende forma nel giro di poco tempo, composta inizialmente da soli 4 membri: Emiliano Iozzo(Voce) - Luigi Randazzini(Basso) – Alessio Gagliardi(Chitarra) & Giorgio Faini(Batteria). Con questa formazione gli Amorphead esprimono inizialmente un impronta musicale orientata per lo più verso il classico Death Metal con venature Progressive.
A dare più tono ed elasticità al sound della band entra a far parte del gruppo il chitarrista Antonio Mazza. Verso la metà di Marzo la Line-Up della band si aggiorna nuovamente, vedendo entrare il chitarrista Alessandro Morrone al posto di Alessio Gagliardi. Con quest’ultimo cambiamento di formazione il gruppo trova il suo ideale equilibrio incominciando ad esprimere nel sound più melodia, inserendo nelle loro influenze parti Melodic Death Metal accompagnate nello stesso tempo da parti Thrash Metal violentissime.
Gli Amorphead nel Gennaio del 2009 incominciano la stesura del loro primo Demo, nel quale personalizzano e ridefiniscono il loro sound dando un impronta musicale più personale e più particolare che non li classifica di per se in un vero e proprio genere. Verso i primi di Giugno la band si reca presso il Sound Farm Studio di Gianluca Molè(Glacial Fear) per incidere il loro Ep di debutto. Finalmente il 26 Luglio del 2009 viene portato alla luce il primo prodotto del gruppo che prende il nome di “Psychotic”.

Amorphead was formed in October 2007, by Giorgio Faini (drummer) and Luigi Randazzini’s (bassist) project. The earlier line-up took shape after a short time, to the beginning it was made out of only four members: Emiliano Iozzo (vocalist), Luigi Randazzini (bassist), Alessio Gagliardi (guitarist) and Giorgio Faini (drummer). With this line-up Amorphead began to express a music which was orientated towards a classical death metal with Progressive nuances.
The guitarist Antonio Mazza would entered the band to give more tone and elasticity to the band’s sound. Towards mid-March the band’s line-up changed again. The guitarist Alessandro Morrone joined the band instead of Alessio Gagliardi. With this last change the band found its perfect balance starting to express more melody in its sound and inserting in their influences some Melodic Death pieces followed by more violent Trash Metal pieces.
In Jenuary 2009 Amorphead started to make their first Demo, in which they customized and redefined their sound giving a more personal and paricular musical mark which doesn’t classify them in a real kind of gender. Toward the first days of June the band went to Gianluca Molè(Glacial Fear)’s Sound Farm Studio to record their first Ep. Finally on 26th July 2009 the first product of the band was given and it takes the name of “Psychotic”.
